Global Observatory for Human Histories and Traditions

The Global Observatory for Human Histories and Traditions is dedicated to preserving, studying and transmitting the collective memories, living traditions and cultural legacies that shape the identity of peoples. It focuses on historical narratives, oral traditions, ancestral knowledge, customary practices, endangered languages, social rites, artistic expressions and community-based heritage.

By bringing together research, documentation, digital preservation, intercultural dialogue and cooperation with memory-bearing communities, the Observatory helps protect traditions from disappearance, distortion and cultural erasure. Its work positions human histories and traditions as foundations of cultural dignity, social cohesion, peace, heritage justice and intergenerational transmission.
