Global Program for Education Development Support (GPEDS)

The Global Program for Education Development Support (GPEDS) is the sectoral framework through which the World Association for Development (WAD) organises its action in favour of the sustainable strengthening of education systems.

The Program supports States and their partners in the progressive transformation of education policies and systems in order to promote more equitable access to education, improve the quality of learning, and strengthen the institutional capacities of the sector.

The GPEDS operates within a long-term logic grounded in educational governance, inclusion, pedagogical innovation, the development of educational human resources, and the financial sustainability of education systems. It promotes a programmatic approach designed to reinforce the coherence of interventions and their alignment with national priorities and international commitments relating to education and human development.

Through this Program, WAD contributes to supporting education systems that are more inclusive, resilient, and capable of durably preparing future generations for economic, social, and technological transformation.
