The Global Observatory for Agriculture and Rural Security

The Global Observatory for Agriculture and Rural Security works to support the transformation of agricultural systems and the resilience of rural communities in a context of climate pressure, food insecurity and changing production models. It examines sustainable farming, soil and water management, biodiversity, rural livelihoods, food production, agricultural innovation, land use, value chains and the protection of farming communities.

Through data analysis, policy support, knowledge-sharing, agroecological innovation and capacity-building, the Observatory helps public institutions, agricultural actors and development partners design more productive, inclusive and environmentally responsible rural strategies. Its work makes agriculture and rural security essential foundations for food sovereignty, territorial stability, social equity and sustainable development.
