The World Association for Development (AMD) supports professional associations and organizations in establishing solidarity mechanisms designed to strengthen mutual assistance, complementary financial security and the collective capacity of their members to cope with certain unforeseen social situations. Convinced that solidarity is a pillar of social cohesion and well-being at work, AMD supports the creation of mechanisms capable of providing rapid, transparent and organized responses to difficulties encountered by workers.

In this context, the Association supports the creation and strengthening of solidarity funds within professional associations, public administrations, businesses and other organizations. These mutual assistance mechanisms enable members to mobilize collective support when faced with social or professional circumstances requiring temporary assistance, without replacing statutory social security schemes or public protection mechanisms.

AMD's support focuses on structuring the mechanism, developing contribution rules, defining eligibility criteria and allocation procedures, as well as strengthening governance. It also includes measures for financial control, transaction traceability, confidentiality and appeals, in order to ensure sustainable operations based on trust, fairness, transparency and accountability.

The structuring of these mechanisms enables members to benefit from a more organized collective response to certain social difficulties. It promotes greater clarity regarding access conditions to assistance, strengthens trust among members and contributes to stabilizing solidarity relationships within organizations.

Beyond the temporary assistance provided to beneficiaries, this mechanism strengthens cohesion among members, develops a spirit of mutual support and contributes to creating a more harmonious social climate. It also facilitates faster mobilization of available resources while strengthening the sense of belonging to a supportive professional community.

Through this initiative, the World Association for Development reaffirms its conviction that organized solidarity is a driver of social resilience.
