Framework Document for Strategic Projects

Strategic projects are the operational pathway through which the World Association for Development turns its global priorities into concrete action. They translate programmatic orientations into structured interventions designed to address major economic, social, health, educational, environmental, and institutional challenges. Through these projects, WAD seeks to deliver measurable and sustainable results that directly improve people’s living conditions.

Within WAD’s institutional architecture, strategic projects are not isolated initiatives. They are informed by the knowledge and analysis generated by the Global Observatories, supported by the technical expertise of specialized structures, and aligned with the priorities set by the Global Programs. This connection ensures continuity between identifying development needs, designing appropriate solutions, and implementing effective field-based responses.

The strategic projects are designed to test innovative solutions, strengthen systems and institutional capacities, consolidate achievements, and scale up approaches that demonstrate real impact. Their purpose is to support long-term transformation, reinforce community resilience, and contribute to more inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered development.
